This weekend we are going to our local KOA for a Halloween weekend, where the kids will trick or treat between campers and people decorate their sites, and other fun Halloween activities.  Has anyone ever done this before?  It sounds like a lot of fun, and the weather is supposed to be in the mid 70's Smile

Sue, what a great idea! sounds like a lot of fun not only for the kid's but the adults also. The weather sounds like it will be perfect for trick or treating. Let us know how it goes.

Sue, we have done the Halloween festivities at our local KOA for 2 yrs. It is a lot of fun. We live in a rather rural area, so trick or treating might only consist of 5 visitors at our house. My sons were amazed at the "big" trick or treating at the campground, followed by the costume dance. They also enjoyed displaying the jack o'lanterns (pack your carving tools) on our picnic table for all the trick or treaters to see.  Have fun!

The Indiana Chapter of the Great Lakes Pop Up Club discovered the Autumn Fest weekends at Mississinewa last year and are going back this year.  What a blast!  They showed the movie RV on Friday night at their outdoor amphitheater, held pumpkin carving contest for kids Saturday morning, trick or treat that evening and campsite decorations judging that night.  It has been so successful that they do it 2 weekends in a row now.  The park is completely booked for both weekends this year.  It seems like more and more parks are getting into the act these days.

We are going to Yogi's Jellystone in Natural Bridge, Va in October.  They have Halloween camping all month.  The first weekend is non-scary for little kids.  The rest of them are scary.  They have haunted hayrides, costume parties, and trick or treating for the kids.  The campers all decorate up their sites.  We booked early, because they said they nearly booked full every weekend.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we had a GREAT weekend Smile
The kids trick or treated around the CG, painted pumpkins, danced at the dance party, watched "Monster House" under the stars, it even got warm enough for the kids to swim in the lake.

We are definitely planning on going back next year!

We are heading to Pinewood Lodge in Plymouth, MA for the same type of event on the 10/3 - 10/4.  This will be our first PUP camping trip.  Hope the weather is good

We're going with a group of folks (who all have TTs) to an RV park in mid-October down by Ocean City.  They're having all sorts of activities like that for the kids, plus Sunday is a pancake breakfast, mmmmmmm.
