Jayco lift system repair

I'm sure this topic has been covered here but I wanted to ask anyway.  I have a 91 jayco jayking and the lift system needs to be repaired/replaced.  Where is the best place to replacement parts?  I'm pretty good with my hands and I have a ton of tools.  I might even replace the floor.  I wanted to know what some of the pitfalls to avoid?  Anybody got this type of repair documented in a thread with pics?  Anyone near San Antonio TX. to help.  Ok, ok, maybe the last one is a little far fetched, but any feedback would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,  Mario

I have worked on a Jayco lift system a number of times.  I would be happy to help, but I am a few hours too far north of you for a Saturday job.  However, the lift system is pretty simple to understand once you look in to it.  The hardest thing is getting to the lift system.  Most of the time the hard work is taking things apart to get at what you need to fix.  I would be happy to give you advice via the phone or internet if that would help.  A cable and a pulley or two are the only parts you would normally need.

Do you know specifically what type of problem you are having?

I live in Spring, TX and trying to repair my '88 Jayco 1006 lift system. It appears the double Pulley (plastic oem) on the front Driver side broke.

And I cannot figure out how the cables route through the rear drivers side?

Any luck on on where I can find a double pulley (metal hopefully)?

And a diagram showing how the cables route in the rear driver side?

We are newbies to pop up campers and recently purchased a 1998 Jayco. We've used it one time then went to go camping this weekend when a cable broke.  (boo hiss!!) Is it possible to get a diagram of the lift system so we can get it repaired? Thanks for any help![color=o [SUN] [CP]range][/color]

Bought the driver/rear corner brace from canvas replacements. Very helpful and recommended a better "stronger" one, part#668889.

"Single pulley but the groove is deeper to accomodate both cables"

Don't come near the house next Saturday. Might be some cussing and banging inside the pop-up while I put in the bracket. [:D]

Heading to Leakey, TX with the pop-up in June with the family. Can't wait.
