we where there on Saturday looking at the Hybrids and ended up with the Shamrock 21SS...  How was your experience with sales and service?  They seem to be a good reputable delare/service store and their prices seem reasonable and competitive.  What is your experience?  We are picking our unit tomorrow afternoon as we delt with Fran on the sales side.

P.S. - we are in Oak Hill / Herndon area.

We have a 2003 Starcraft Centennial 3606 and love it.  We have three kids and a dog and it works out great.  The bathroom is great too for those middle of the night trips.  Best of luck with it.  Post pictures once you get it out there.  I have some pictures posted on Webshots.

Congrats on the new hybrid. We were checking them out while we were at RW - they were very nice! We've had a good experience there so far. We've dealt with Mark. We're getting our hitch work done there also but we can't get it done until the 17th, because we'll be away. We'll do our walk through when we pick up the truck. Then we go away on our first trip on the 18th! I'm so excited!

Thank you, yes so far it has been a good experience.  They have technicians that know what they are doing, and are willing to help and share ideas with mods and repairs. At least that has been my experience in the past with our PU and Tony in parts.

Mom,

Congratulations on the new purchase. I'm sure they will get it ready for you, and I agree with all the others on the deal you got!!!

We are in a similar situation as you, we just recently purchased the same camper as you, from a family member.  Its  in pretty good shape, just needs a little TLC...

One thing that you may want to think about before you take it home.  The front storage that is immediately behind the propane tanks with the large plastic lid, it will be secured with two latches.  I know when my brother first purchased and was bringing it home, the latches came undone and nearly destroyed the lid.  We have gotten into the habit of securing those latches closed with zip ties and will eventually with locks to be sure they don't come undone during transit.  I think it may be a common problem.

One question for you, if you are at the dealer, ask them what the latches on the inside near the floor that are on the slide out are for.  I have not yet been able to figure what they are for?  They are on the carpeted area below the bench seats on the slide out.  I'm curious to know, my brother didn't know and he bought it new!!!!

Mom,

If you wouldn't mind, when you get the camper also, would you please take a picture of the inside of the lid to the hatch I had mentioned? 

I know something must have been glued to the top inside of the lid as evidenced in ours, probably for rigidity, I would like to see what was there before.  My plans are to repair the lid and ad some structural rigidity to it.

Those are for securing the dinnet in place after opening ans set up.  There should be a hole, or latch hook on the carpet and you should see it after fully opening the dinnet.

That makes sense, but, I just don't have a hole or something for the latches to go into.  I think I will be getting the PUP tomorrow to get it ready for an upcoming trip.  I will take photos tomorrow and post here.

Mom,  Yes that is what I was hoping to see.  Unfortunately, mine is nowhere to be found.  But, I can probably come up with something.

Hope you're enjoying your camper.  We took ours a week ago for 4 days to KY and had a fabulous time.  My wife wasn't too excited after our first outing with the PUP.  We set up immediately before a nasty storm, the beach at the lake at the campground had flooded out to the parking lot.

Nonetheless, we are enjoying it....

Thanks again and have fun with the 3606.

Oh, BTW, I did find out those clips go into the dinette, I ended up taking the pins out and will put the screws back in to fill the holes.....

just an observation not a critic; looks like the rear suspension on TV is low, and may want to look into a WDH or improve the coil system on the rear suspension.. justa thought
