That slide out galley has to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen...I'd love to have one like that on my pup!

very VERY interesting read.  thank you very much!
Brings up some really interesting questions for me.
It says that the Oasis III Deluxe was the camper with the slide out galley that can be used popped or closed.
That's what mine has.

BUT

Says that they came out with thier very first camping trailer in 1966.
It says that the slide out galley was released in 1971.
Mine is clearly titled as a 1960 model.  hrm...

Then again, this is listed from the same site for "Ward Manufacturing"
"The 1960 brochure shows 3 models being offered for that year. All three models were of the same design, canvas top with slide-out beds. The top of the line model offered a slide-out kitchen and a canopy covering it. This was very unusual for the time and might have even been a first. Several other manufacturers incorporated this idea into their designs throughout the 1960's"

Interesting indeed.

This is one of those PUPs that I could keep on looking at your pictures, it is so cool. If they would make the exact model today I would think it would sale. In fact, even though I have a pretty nice old 83 Palomino now, I would sale and buy today.

Very nice and very cool. We restored an oldie this summer too, it's turned out GREAT just waiting on time/money to finish the exterior paint.
Always a conversation starter, and simple enough to last forever...

Good Job, you've saved a classic and rare camper.

Love your popup! Good job on your restoration efforts!

I wish they made them like that today. I love the pullot galley. I've seen those pullout galleys on expedition trailers ... over at the "Expedition Portal".  Really a neat way to include all the functionality of a galley and still free up a lot of space inside the trailer.

I wonder if maybe the roof was just straight plastic and some previous owner fiberglassed it on the outside? Either way, it's really cool!

Was browsing today a the big rv dealership closest to home today and got to talking to the owner.  After talking about my little pup he told me that they are preparing to open an rv museum soon.  So, if the pup turns out nice enough, it may never see camp again.  I kinda like the thought of it possibly landing in a museum.

Though I did go yardsaling today and scored a 20' run of 50amp power cord, a 50amp/30amp dogbone and a 30amp/15amp converter all for $30 nealry new.

Then at another one I found a coleman propane lantern, coleman distribution tree, and hose for hookup to a large tank all for $5.  Good day.  lol
