    Reservations:

The reservation window for Ontario Provincial Parks is 5 months (book March 2nd, if arriving Aug 2nd). Online reservations open at 7am. This is a long weekend in Ontario, so sites will disappear quickly!

We will be in the Bayside Campground (240s-250s). I’m aiming at Site 244, because it has room for our Potluck and campfire. If you click on the Site #, it will be underlined. Click on it again, and you will get a detailed profile of the site, including pictures. Note: Some sites have a poison ivy alert.

We'll work on our girls passports! Need to check dates with Emily. A cool 6:09 . In reality, it'll be closer to 8. This will be our first Canadian camping trip. We always wanted to go to PEI. Thought that would be our first.

Yes! It’s become a regular thing for the early arrivals at the U.S. rallies that I go to.

I hope the dates work for you! It’s about 5:30 for me. I’d like to do PEI too. Haven’t camped in the Maritimes since ‘03. Maybe we could organize a week-long rally combining a couple of campgrounds for 2020. Good topic for discussion at next year’s rallies.

It will be about 6.5 hours for us, need vacation for this too, so not sure..

I suggested this 2 years ago for the Ontario Summer Rally .. I think it would go over quite well..

Nice, if I'm not traveling, I'll try to make it this year.

It would be great to have you join us again, Steve! Of course, you’d have to contend with some of the NEPA Rally ‘riff raff’!
    Oh, wait...
I guess that would include you...:D

That's right, that's why I always keep a litter bag in the car. It doesn't take up much room and if it gets filled up you can always toss it out the window.

I think we've decided that our original plan of going to some midwestern states next summer is out the window. We're going to do a Canadian tour. Definitely going to get at least two stickers on the Canada map!

It would be only 4 hrs for us, but those dates are right in the middle of when we have out 2-3 week camping holidays. To drop down there from Round Lake would be a little much for 1 day visit.

I love camping trip planning...and I'm so excited to be planning this one. Jake can't wait either! I think this is going to be our itinerary for our extended camping trip. Looking for campground recommendations for our travels after the rally.

7/31-8/4 Charleston Lake Campground - Ontario Rally
8/4-8/8 Quebec (Campground TBD). Would like to be somewhere in between Quebec City and Montreal so we can visit both cities.
8/8-8/11 New Brunswick (Campground TBD). Would like to be near the US Border/Coast so we can cross back into the States late morning/early afternoon on the 11th.

A few FYI's for camping in Que.
    1) All their Provincial Parks were classed as National Parks several decades ago, to help quell a rabies epidemic,, why.. National Park rules do not allow dogs into the campgrounds.. I have heard they have changed this ruling for 2019, but I'm not 100% sure, so if your bringing Fido along might be worth a painful phone call with someone in their call center..
2)Drive time from Montreal to Quebec City is about 3 hours on a good day, not towing and knowing where it is you want to go.. You might find it better option to stay at Voyageur P.P or Glengarry Campground at the Parks of the St. Lawrence both in Ontario and do a one hour drive to Montreal to visit (if you go, you must stop and get yourself a smoked meat sandwich at a Chenoy's as well as stop into a Lafleurs for a foot long dog...) and then drive onto Quebec City a day or two later.. Most folks I know who have towed East of Montreal have all paid and taken the toll highway around Montreal then trying to drive through it and they have all stayed at the KOA just outside of Quebec City..
