I’m getting excited for camping season! Winter can end anytime! I’m starting to meal plan for this trip...trying to decide how crazy I want to get.

Meal planning already! You are eager! Although I must admit that I do think about what I’ll take to the potluck for the various rallies I be at this year.

I’m with you! I’ve had enough of winter—maybe because we’ve have snow on the ground since early November. It still feels like January in Muskoka (sunny and -22C)! Looking at the cold (10-15C below the norm for this time of year) and the amount of snow still on the ground, it’s hard to believe that spring is around the corner. Fortunately, the forecast calls for above freezing on Sun and up to 8C mid-week next week.

I’m just managing to keep up with clearing the snow off my Aliner shelter:

Yeah, winter can end anytime now for me as well. It needs to warm up to get the sap flowing in the trees. Last year at this time I was well into boiling sap/syrup, and this year I can't even get to the trees yet to hang buckets on them. I still have 5 feet of snow in the back yard. It's a late start for syrup season, thats for sure.

We don't have a lot of snow left in Hamilton, but we have enough. It's been a rough winter with all the freezing then thawing. Planning for the camping season is the only way to keep me sane LOL. I meal plan this far out because I do a lot of dehydrating prior to the summer. I also start putting together meal kits and freeze them so I just have to pull out what I want for that weekend.

Greg started the new Hospice transition along with every other contractor in this area....it was busy yesterday. He is there all weekend. My Dad and uncle left for Verner, just east of North Bay for their snowmobile weekend at my uncles. Tons of snow there too!

You keep trying, Snow! lol. If we had more then 2 days, and Greg wasn't always on call, would be different. The perks of self-employment!
