Work schedules will keep us away
Sorry to hear that, maybe next time. Pat was talking about having one in the spring next year around Pittsburgh and John is have one up in New York mid summer.
My wife does catering. Her taking that weekend off is missing out on over $1K for two days work.
It sucks, but it's a bit too much money to miss out on.
only 3 weekends away, still time to join us
sorry you wont be able to make it, hopefully you can make another at some point
We hope to.
Still time to join us in the 200 loop. Just 2 weeks away!!
We are so excited. Can not wait.
FYI if any one is interested I have a camco olympian wave-8 catalytic heater that i'm going to put up for sale. It can be free standing or wall mounted. Runs of low pressure propane. I can bring it. PM me if you are interested. I can give you details about it, etc..
Schedules may be changing...
Their site is a bit of a head scratcher.
I pick the dates, it gives me available sites.
I highlight the site, it tells me it's not available for Friday night.
make sure you look at Jamestown 200 section... just checking site J-243 is now booked for the weekend, looks like both friday and saturday.. is that you? if so welcome
I have not booked anything yet. Wife's work may be cancelled that weekend, and I kept looking at available sites, then finding they were booked Friday but open Saturday.
Or maybe not, since I can't figure out how to read the page correctly.
Same site I posted before.
Available I guess. Too close to the road? I'm not familiar with the area.
site 233 is close to the road, however advantage/disadvantage , depending on how you look at things, is that your on the high side of the loop, as the road goes down, but right across from the bath house . ... site J242 is on the bottom, but sits back pretty far in, and your door would be oppisite the bottom road , and gives you lake view out your side window , granted nobody takes the non electric site accross the road. (probally my pick if i was still looking,) even sites 231, 227, 234, or 221 (alittle small) 217,215 wouldnt be bad, as you would just be back to back , but we would still be all together. thou in all it is a great loop to hold a rally
now whose claiming site 243, full hookup site , tell me its one of us, and not a big 5ver, blocking our water view
Site 233 is still open for the weekend, we’ve stayed at that site. It is close to the road but this side if the campground is as big as the other half. You have the 200 and 100 loops vs the other side. The site itself is pretty spacious, the only thing we had were our dogs liked to greet everyone who drove or walked by on the road and they had 2 roads to greet by. We were also in the site for Memorial Day weekend so it was a bit busier.
The website for Reserve America that handles I think all the state parks is tricky but once you get used to it, it’s not quite so bad.
Hope you’re able to make it. The weekend will be here before you know it.
Those that have signed up, I’ll be sending out a little questionnaire like last year. We’ve got some people that may not have camped together yet.
Talk soon, can’t wait to meet up with everyone again.
Nothing like sitting together around the fire especially in the Fall
Just a week away everyone, still plenty of time to join us. If you know what you’re doing for the potluck let me know. If not it can be a surprise, surprises are good except to my wife...she hates surprises. Don’t ask me how I know.
Also, I sent out the questionnaire today, just some quick questions to fill in some of the blanks. I’m heading to the campground on Thursday so if you could send me your answers by Wednesday that would be great!
Can’t wait to meet up everyone. I hear the campfire calling!!
Wow, seven days and we should all be camping! Can't wait to meet you all.
I don't know why I never seem to get notifications since the forum software change! At least it notified me of Robs PM! We'll be doing the ever popular meatballs for the potluck on Saturday.
Jelly (Our Pup) might be a little under the weather this weekend. The growth she's had on her shoulder ruptured last weekend, so she's getting surgery to remove it and patch her up on Tuesday, She may be wearing the cone of shame this weekend.
We'll probably be there around 6-7 on Friday. Patrick started Kindergarten this year so we have to wait til he's out of school at 4 to hit the road.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
