James will be excited!!!
Just got home from Ohiopyle, everthing thing went great until I went to pack up, Kath pushed the button to close the dinette slide, and I heard a loud crack, seems one of the rollers on the inside decided to break clean off, it,s amazing that the whole frame assembly. That holds the right side roller on the linoleum floor, is basically build together with nothing more than 2 braid nails holding it together, nothing like cutting corners, way to go KZ. Luckily, for it closed before it decided to break. After getting home I went to lowes and got 2. Mending plates , and 2 metal, plates and screwed it back together , 10 times stronger than original , so back in business, see you all next week.
It’s amazing how cheep the campers are made, I had to reinforce the back of the dinette seat because it was very flimsy. Still not great but better than what it was.
Yep , same modification here as well, still have a window valance, that still needs reinforcing , but that can wait until after the rally
They are always breaking. After 6 campers and 25 years of campers. The one thing I count on is; on average about 4 hours of repairs for every 15 nights of camping. Some big things many little things.
only days away, looks like sites 217, and 221 are now gone, any takers, only a few sites left in the 200 loop, book now if your interested in joining us
Cannot wait!!! Just came back to work after surgery. Last week was long..... looking forward to a short week!! Now what to make???
Glad you’re doing well. Can’t wait to meet up with everyone!!
Starting to get our stuff together. Will start the fridge tomorrow. Joyce tell me all the stuff we need in in the camper except one pair of pants and the stuff for the fridge.
weather is looking picture perfect this weekend, high in low 70,s and low into the 50,s and DRY also may change my potluck contrubution alittle. expecting to arrive friday roughly 11 am ...ish
looks like the loop is pretty full. only a few sites left
I’m just about ready. I’ve got most of the groceries last night. I just need to get the chicken for the potluck. I’m doing bbq chicken with potatoes. I have just a few last minute things to do. Only 1 1/2 days left of work. I took a half day Thursday, hope to be at the campground right around 3.
See everyone soon!!
I don't believe a word of it. It's been raining so much here I think my toes are getting webbed
Dont forget to bring you old bread, to feed the carps and ducks walking on the carps back to get the bread.
DW use to camp at Pymatuning as a kid and that what she always mentions when we talk about the park. Feeding the ducks and carps. I do have to say, it is different when you see.
Kath said I made the same thing last year so changing my potluck contribution, I will now be making dutch oven corn cassorole, and a pie inside a cake for desert ,
Well, Looks like we aren't going to make it to the rally . Crystal took Jelly to the vet for the surgery (Side note, it's costing us ~$800 for that), and smoke started pouring out of the Excursion. Looks like it's a frozen caliper, but it's at the shop to verify that. So no tow vehicle means no camping for us.
What a crappy turn of events Hopefully I'll see you all at the Spring Rally (Thread for that is finally up)
Sorry man, what a crappy turn of events. We’re planning on being at the spring rally if the dates fall into line. I don’t know what that line is yet.
Here's what $800 gets you
I don't know if any of you remember the growth on her side from the rally last spring, but it was pretty big.
Between the bump and the hair the shaved off, she probably lost 10 pounds
She's doing good though, just a little sleepy right now.
Starting to enjoy the campfire tonight. Can’t wait for everyone to start arriving.
See everyone tomorrow.
Pat we are going to miss you and your family.
