So I know this is not a pleasant topic.
We have been at the camping thing for many years. Have always used the chemical treaments. On this trip (10 days) and our spring break week trip we used a quart of bleach per full tank. Much cheaper than the chemical and had no odor or issues. Thoughts on this good or bad? Thanks.

I don't use any treatment and have no odor issues.

The only issue I could see with adding bleach is that it could cause deterioration of the rubber gaskets on the valve. You might try using chlorine granules instead - they are less abrasive as they are meant for pools and hot tubs. You could also try simple baking powder.

The effect on gaskets makes complete sense. Thanks for the advice. I will give the suggestion a try.
