Just picked up an aliner at auction. Pretty bare bones model, and looks pretty tired inside. What ideas are there for an upgrade to the dingy white vinyl (?) wall covering? Most rehabbed Aliners seem to keep that original white vinyl. Not sure how well paint would adhere to it.

RV manufacturers really love that wall stuff. I'd probably try scrubbing it first...

Welcome to the Aliner family. :)
I would go to a real paint store and ask their advice. My experience has been that they know how to get some kind of paint to stick to anything.
But ask about a wipe down/wash too.

Welcome to the Aliner family from AZ.

The ceiling area is covered with vinyl wall paper. It’s hard to remove old stains. Trying using a magic eraser to remove stains with simple green. Ask the person at the paint department for their recommendation. Definitely paint with a primer to adhere. I’ve seen folks cover their ceiling with vinyl art stencils/stickers that’s removable but vinyl doesn’t stay on in hot conditions.

I always upgrade when replacing an item in my Aliner. Replace using higher quality and or newer materials. It adds better resale value.

You have a blank canvas and all it takes is hard work, time, resources and lots of imagination.

    Happy Camping[ALPU][PUT]
