2018 forest river Rockwood 1940ltd. I've looked in the manual and no success. I see the hose coming out underneath the pup but can't find the knob to release the water stored in my fresh water holding tank. I've read it could possibly be under the dinette where my tank is stored. Before I jack it up and take the screws off the panel(from what I remember there were) does anyone know this to be true?

Don't own you specific brand, but the plumbing is pretty universal. Some drain valves are on the outside, (mine is) some are inside and either against the tank or on the drain line near the tank. It should be accessible through a side hatch on the bottom of the dinette, or more likely you can lift up the cushion and seat base to access the tank and valve. Based on the need to access it to regularly drain the tank, it should not require any jacking or unscrewing.

    Good luck.

This seems to be the million dollar question today.
