I've been stalking ideas on here for over a year now and decided it was time... I'm a mom of 4 (21, 20, 18 and 6). I live in upstate NY (someday it WILL stop snowing!) My husband LOVES to camp and do the outdoors thing - me, not so much. We camped a few times in one year (2016) with friends and decided if we were going to keep going then we needed a camper. Found a GREAT deal on a 1999 Coleman Utah with push-out dinette for $2100. I couldn't see spending a lot of money when we only go a few times a year. It needed a few minor repairs (a pencil end size canvas rip, new seal, new bunk bungee, new elastic for curtains, a broken awning bag zipper, a factory sewing flaw in one bunk seam, and water sealing the seams on that bunk) but the size is great, storage is good, it was in really good shape and the price was right. I still need a new seal and a new zipper, but mostly I'm into the fun stuff now, which is how I've ended up here. We mostly camp with our friends and neighbors a few times a year to fairly local campgrounds. My 18-year-old is disabled and the push-out was a must have for the added floor space for him to get around well. Although I am more of a glamper than a camper, I LOVE our pop-up! I enjoy making modifications to fit my needs and making it pretty. I really like the feeling of waking up and having all but one of my kids so close and in one small place.
