My Wife and I just bought our 1st pop up. I am 6'2 and a healthy 300. My wife is a *** chunky. We bought a '97 coleman/fleetwood Sun Vally, King size beds on both ends. We can't find the info ANYWHERE!!! not in the owners manual, online either! How much weight will the kingsize bed hold for that popper?? You'd thing it'd be plastered all over somewhere. Though supported it doesn't look all that strong. Someone mentioned 250 lbs. Someone 1,000 lbs. Can anyone confirm which? Where can I find the info? THANKS!

I understand your concern. My DH and I had the same ?? with the purchase of our first used PU. I contacted a local camper repair shop and was told that the pop up's held around 1200 lbs on each end. My DH and I are pretty portly, and as of yet have never had a problem with our bunks. Hope this helps with your concerns.

All told we have around 700 lbs sleeping on the king bed of our Jayco every night we camp and never even feel like there is going to be a problem.

Its not what we take with us that matters but what we leave behind that counts.

LOL...Im guessing it dont matter much now, Buckskin, cause after your wife reads, "My wife is a *** chunky", you are gonna be in the PUP alone anyway!!!!! LOL LOL
