CL is becoming a haven for the Dumb and Dumber.

Only drawback is it’s a “one-time use only” option for that year

Of course it’s a scam. The price along with the incorrect wording/equipment et al gives it away. I’m afraid CL is getting bombarded with scam ads

What is the purpose of posting scam ads on Craigslist?

Usually to get you to send them a "deposit" to hold the merchandise, then they disappear with your deposit.

It's a wasteland for sure. FB marketplace is becoming my go to for stuff simply because you can see a real name attached with some history. Not that there isn't tons of scams there too, but it seems to be more work for them than CL.
