Interesting and HOT, good info..
Lol ,i grow some hot stuff up here. And they do varry! Some peopers i like one year , the next year i cant touch them there so hot.
if you click on the pepper it gives a lot more info. The very last one is about as hot as they get, and is claimed to be the worlds hottest, the pickers used 4 pr. of latex gloves to PICK them.
I think I'll buy them all and put in my chili for the Vermont Rally Contest.
I entered the Marion County Fl Chili cook off, trying to get the hottest award, (won peoples choice year before) neighbor came over to see what I was doing as his eyes were burning, one of the judges came to my table , tried the chili and went to his knees, and claimed mine as the winner and said it was the hottest he had ever tasted, however I could not win the award as I had won an award the year before and the County Manager thought it would be unfair to the other departments. That was the last year that I entered the contest. (btw being the traffic division (signs and signals) and on the road all the time, we called it road kill chili and never told anyone what was really in the chili. (Venison)
My son has a friend that works with the Puckerbutt Pepper Company, in Rock Hill. He said he made a mistake of trying just a speck of the Carolina Reaper.
Give the pepper to your wife or kid for the contest. Doesn't have to be you?
Great idea no kids here and I would have to move out if I did that to the wife
It should win HOTTEST Chili for sure.
