    JULY 2012 Recipe of the Month

    Title: STRAWBERRY LEMONADE SMOOTHIES


    Member: [CK] Campit


    Ingredients:
    4-5 cups frozen strawberries ( enough to fill blender about 3/4 full)
    3 (12-oz.) cans 7-Up or ginger ale
    1 T. lemon juice
    1/2 cup sugar



    Directions:
    Fill blender with strawberries, pour soda in over them. Add lemon juice and sugar. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy! May garnish with whipped cream.

    These are sooooooo good - certainly hit the spot on those 100+ degree temp days we had here in VA last week! You rock, Campit! [:D]

    Sounds great, and I can easily adapt to sugar free soda and nutrasweet. I don't have a blender in the PUP, will have to get one.

    That's the way I make them for myself since my blood is too"sweet". Diet 7up and splenda or stevia. [;)] But for the other folks in the family, I make them the way the recipe calls for.

    Think about one of those "stick" blenders, an Immersion blender? [2C] Take up way less space in the pup.
