I promised my niece and her father I was going to take us all out to that spot. I told my niece she had to give me her summer schedule way in advance so I can make reservations. “I will” is always her response , Well guess who is still waiting for that schedule after three months of asking her. Looks like I probably wouldn’t be able to go now. Ugh!

That's what I've been doing this season. I had to work late everyday this week and the DQT graduated this morning. Got a site at Sesquicentennial State Park today through Monday.

I Decided to do what you all suggested and went ahead and made plans despite their schedule. If my niece and brother come, great, if not...their loss. Couldn't get my ideal spot but I did get a water view. As long as my brother can fish near camp he will be happy. Thanks all. I hated the idea I would lose an opportunity due to their schedules. Now to wait and see who comes or not. Looking forward to this trip but a bit worried too.

@ jmkay1 I feel for you. That's why in my "Camping Alone" post I said I tell people when I'm going anyone can come that wants. I got tired of losing out waiting on the "I'll let you know" people.

Don't worry, be happy! If they make it great, if not it can be a true R&R trip.
