Can anyone recommend campgrounds (provincial parks or private) in SW Ontario that are quiet - even on the weekends? We love provincial parks and are always looking to try new ones, but we've had really bad luck with noisy neighbors. We usually find the weekdays are perfect but as soon as the weekend rolls around, the party crowd shows up and we're stuck listening to people yelling all night long. I'm nervous to even book at provincial parks on a weekend in the summer. We have 2 kids, 8 and 5, and we love to camp somewhere with a beach. Biking paths, hiking trails, and playgrounds are pretty important too! Thanks for your help! :)

First, Welcome to the Portal from the Northwestern edge of the GTA. .
Where abouts in the Province are you from? .

Check out the Canadian Rally section for details on the 3 Ontario Rallies that are planned for this up coming season. . There is the 2nd annual KoTS rally in May , over the long weekend. The 5th Annual Ontario Summer Rally on the Canada Day long weekend and the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Gathering on Thanksgiving weekend. .

What region would you call SW Ontario? Parks like Point Farms, Inverhuron and MacGregor are all pretty tame parks on the weekends in the summer..

We're from Sarnia and I would consider anything up to Toronto and a bit north SW Ontario (so within 3ish hours from Sarnia). We actually had one of our worst experiences with noisy people at Point Farms! We had to call the park rangers several times on a group behind us that was shouting until 3am! :( We haven't tried Inverhuron or MacGregor yet. We've been to Pinery quite a few times but never during prime summer weekends.

Not sure you'll find anything that's quiet on the summer weekends , possibly a private campground that has strict noise regulations . You get a bunch of people together anywhere and there will be noise .
