I'm probably going to replace my old 1st gen Prodigy, haven't completed troubleshooting yet but it's pretty much a done deal. Leaning toward the P2 because it's identical, box and controls, to my old one. Why did you choose one over the other?

MY IQ brake controller went last year. It took awhile to troubleshoot it. In looking at the brake controlers I decided to go with the P3 only because it has all the voltage meters for the voltages on the wires and a current meter for the brake output. If I had this meter before it would have been very quick to determine if the problem was the brake controller. Only thing I had to change was the bracket, wires and harness was the same.

Thanks Art, that's the kind of info I need.

What pushed me to the P3, also, was the display. Never had a controller before but had used one with a friend's TV and trailer, but it was bare bones.
