Hi, I want to purchase a used popup with two tables. I am also trying to keep the weight on the 2500 limit as I tend to not pack particularly light and I camp/drive at high altitudes (7200 feet and higher for the most part). Heat would be nice but all other options/ brands /features are less important. Any favorite floor plans, etc.

Do you mean two tables on the inside that were part of the original design..?? I would like to see one myself.

I've seen a couple, but I think you will have a very difficult time finding one under that weight limit. The ones I've seen with that kind of floor plan are closer to 3500 in weight. I'll see if I can find the ones I was looking at.

Have you thought about just a couch or U-shaped dinette for more seating? Your options would be much more broad, in that case.

Here is one floorplan that is has a gross weight of 3,043 lbs.

I've seen some dutchman, some jaycos, and a palomino or two with two dinettes but I wasn't sure if I was missing any. I might need to up my weight limit. My Honda Pilot is rated at 5000 but I prefer not to get close to the limit. I guess I might have to decide if two tables is worth the extra weight. [LOL]

The Rockwood 2317G had two dinnetes. Not sure what the weight is though.

You're totally good as far as weight. Get what you like.

Are you looking new or older?

If you click on the camera icon under my avatar, you can see two interior photos of my '98 Jayco Eagle 12 UDK. It's normally just DW and me so the table from the U-shaped dinette usually ends up outdoors .

The sticker on door says the dry weight is right at 1,700 pounds.

Oh wow that is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the neat trick clicking on the camera. Didn't know about that.

My 2013 Palomino has 2 dinettes. One with the u-shaped seating with a table that sits on a pole. The other dinette has seating across from each other with a removable table. That table usually ends up outside. I tow with a 2008 Jeep Liberty.

Since you said your Pilot tows 5000 lbs, I'll assume you have the 2016/17 Pilot w/Towing package and transmission cooler. With that, you can tow any popup, as I use my 2016 Pilot EX to tow my Coachmen 21tqx hybrid camper which is about ~4200 lbs loaded just fine.

Rockwood has the 1980, which has dual dinettes, and Jayco had a 12ft with dual dinettes until this past summer.

The 68 Starcraft we owned had 2 dinettes. I believe that same floorplan was used well into the 80's.

My 1997 Starcraft has the same layout . I just don't have a second table for the U couch. My camper weights 1600 lbs.

I have a 2317g. It weighs in at just under 3400. We love the two dinettes, don't use both often as on is a bed. But great for those stormy days/nights.

Jayco 1007 - 2500# max, easily towed by a Pilot.

We are 5 people and two large dogs - the rear dinette makes a twin bed, the front makes a single. With the tables out - there is plenty of comfortable seating.

Your Pilot may be similar to my 2014 Explorer with tow package that is slated to tow up to 5,000 Lbs and I assume your Pilot is can tow up to 5,000 lbs if it has the two package. check the specifications for your Pilot. I towed my 3500 lbs camper up in Grapevine Mountains without any problem. It did not slow down up the mountain like my 99 Explorer did...

Thanks for all the suggestions. You guys are great. My Pilot is a 2006 with tow package. I did check and it does have a 5000 LB limit. I will be camping with 2 adults, 2 older teens, one 9 year old and 2 pups ( 40 lbs each). :- ) It will be towing at high altitudes. I live in Wyoming so I know my gas mileage will stink but ah well.

I also appreciate the vote of confidence as I have never towed anything before but really like the layout of the larger units. Now to decide which to pursue.
