    Hi campers,
wife and i go and look at a 2016
Rockwood HW 277. i look under the camper and see a particle boord floor. is this as it should be? nothing to protect it from the rain? I'm sure i could paint, varnish, undercoat or something. just thought I'd ask.
    Thanks

They say not to seal the bottom of popups ........ but a travel trailer made by the same company the underside is protected with a waterproof fabric. Go figure?

Leave alone. Sealing it will only cause you grief.

Leaving it alone is easy. getting to the point of not thinking about it would take awhile.
    Thanks for the education

Lol, I always wondered about this too, I left mine alone as it's old and mostly in good shape, mine is a 2000 Westlake. I assume with sealing you trap the moisture on one side promoting rot. Not 100 percent but just what I've read and the condition of my pop up.

Yup both my pups have the same water damage spots and its not from water getting the bottom wet.
