Looking to spend some time in the San Rafel Swell & Dirty Devil River area first week of April. I've spent a lot of time in the Swell but lm hoping to explore east of 24. Wondering if anyone has driven the Poison Spring Canyon Rd lately. I want to take my camper to the river. It's has fairly high clearance. I'm used to pulling it down pretty rough roads.. I'll get a road report in Hanksville but I'm trying to plan my time before I roll out.

You best bet would to to call the BLM (Henry Mountains) field office in Hanksville; and hopefully they have an idea. Last time I was there was either 2007 or 2008, long before the birth of my camper and there were at least five other vehicles, and five sat phones. From memory there are quite a few washes so time of the year and weather are important. Even if that area gets very little rain, but when it does, it does.
    Keep us posted.

Thanks, not too worried about getting stuck. Mostly wondering about sharp turns/switchbacks for my trailer.
