No stabs. You have to sleep really really still. [LOL]

If that thing had a shimmer to it, I'd say it was a Romulan camper. [LOL][LOL][LOL] (few will understand that one)

Behold, the Chevette that died at the behest of a motorcyle just seconds off the lot. It even matches the color of the Bobcat in the brochure:

In further discussion, DW said that the guy was hospitalized for a LONG time, but eventually came home and made a full recovery. I'll bet his Dad wouldn't let him get another motorcycle!

Here is a set up version of my Allstate tent trailer posted previously being towed by my 1978 Honda 5 Door. Great memories!

The first car is not an Escort. They had an extra window down the side of the hatch on the 4dr. We bought a 1981 new. It was a really good car. We ran it 160k before replacing it.

Horizon was a Plymouth. Dodge Omni was its sister They do look like a Rabbit, though.. The gas cap is a give away that it is a Rabbit. The Mopars have a gas door. 001.jpg

    Looks like a mid-to-late rabbit
Taillights, gas cap as aligned with door handles, rims, and a few other items....
Taillight amber outer (law in many European countries), then park/brake with horizontal line in middle, then backup)

I drove an Escort for many years. I bought it new, believe it was 1987 or so. It was a great car, never had any problems with it. My husband drove it over a bridge one night and totaled it.

I owned a 1980 Plymouth Champ.....phew, that confession was difficult....but confession is the first step in rehabilitation.

Yeah, I had a 77 Rabbit. Pretty sure that's what it is.

Wow, I never realized how closely matched a Horizon and a Rabbit were. When I saw the first pictures, I immediately thought it was a Horizon. People started calling it a Rabbit, and I thought, 'yeah, maybe'. But after seeing the side by side pictures, it's definitely a Rabbit. I had a Horizon in the late 80's. I got stuck with it for a summer. I was doing a used car deal for my sis-in-law for her from a Ford dealership where I was a mechanic at the time. It was a very clean little car, but then she decided to back out of the deal. I got stuck with the car, because I already had bought it for her, and I had it at home, (used a dealer plate to drive it home). I eventually flipped the deal and made a few hundred bucks on it all.
