What they don't have in the US is Princess Auto where you'll get the best deal on tires, especially when they're on sale.

Princess Auto largely carries Triangle brand tires, or at least the two I go to the most (Mississauga and Bolton)..

What they do have in the States is a Harbour Freight and Northern Tools.. very similar to P.A..

Not true at all, PA carries tires and tire / wheel assemblies of different makes. For example, right now one can buy Carlisle Ultra CRT tires mounted on a white rim for just $79.99 Cdn, significantly lower than it's regular price of $139.99 Cdn.

When I was at the Hamilton PA store the other day they had a really nice mag wheel mounted with a Gallant brand tire for $139.99 Cdn.

The trick is to keep an eye out for sale price in the tire size one needs.

Be careful of the load ratings though , my trailer requires 1700 something lbs. most at Princess are only 1360

Not true at all, PA carries tires and tire / wheel assemblies in many sizes, from small to large, all of which meet standard load ratings. Here's an example - ST235/80 R16 LR E tires @ 3050 lbs.

The OP is looking for 4:80x12C tires, my point being that PA does offer a variety of tires and tire / wheel assemblies at great prices, especially when on sale.

Even dealers offer great selection of tires and load ranges, sometimes they even have them on sale..

Here is a Kenda Loadstar assembly from Cerka.. Load range "C", 4 bolt rim .. $71.46 .
    http://www.cerka.ca/trailer-tire/trailer-tire-wheel/62-480-12-4c-480-12?mfp=10f-tire-size[72],3f-diameter[13]

Here is a Kenda Loadstar assembly, load range "C", 5 bolt rim.. $70.92 .
    http://www.cerka.ca/trailer-tire/trailer-tire-wheel/62-480-12-5c-480-12?mfp=10f-tire-size[72],3f-diameter[13]

Personally I find Kenda to be a much better tire then Carlisle .. Have had both on our pup and the kenda lasted longer.

Just for $#!ts and giggles here are the ones from P.A.
    Rockwell American 5 bolt, $99.99

    Rockwell American 4 Bolt. $99.99

    Carlisle 5 Bolt. $119.99
