    Tire Replacement

Hello, I need to replace my st185/80 r13 tires on my 2514g Forest River PUP. I currently have Castle originals that came with the camper. Any suggestions for tire brands and places other than RV dealerships that replace camper tires would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

    NYS Thruway

The NYS thruway will photograph your plates and send you a bill. I have an EZ pass and for some reason this past summer on a trip to the Adirondacks my transponder did not activate and they sent me a bill. They photographed my rear plate which was my camper plate and not registered with them...

    Trips Booked

Your trip brings back memories. We did a similar 3 week trip with our 2 children in the early 90's. Great trip. Make sure to bring binoculars for wildlife viewing.

    Trips Booked

Since we have an elderly parent in our care it is necessary to plan ahead so we can arrange for caretakers in advance. We have trips booked for June, July, August, and September. October is a possibility, but it depends on the weather.

Ha! That's on our list for June, it'll probably be our first trip of the year. Can't wait.

    Camping NY

There is plenty of water in NYS and thus offers a multitude of camping options. It all depends on how you like to camp. I have only camped at state parks and DEC campsites. DEC campsites are for the most part dry camping in the Adirondacks and Catskills. State campsites generally have...

    Anyone revert back to tents?

I have to agree. When we moved from ground pads to cots, it was great having all that space, not to mention sitting on the end of the cot to get dressed and tie shoes.

    Anyone revert back to tents?

After sleeping for the first time in our new PUP a couple of years ago I don't reckon I'll be tenting any time soon. I am slowly passing my tents along to my children and grandchildren.

Hand pumping antifreeze into my PUP

Took a trip to my RV dealer and bought the non-alcohol stuff. Thanks for all the help. I am always learning something new when it comes to RVing.

Hand pumping antifreeze into my PUP

Thanks for the info. I just checked an invoice from my dealer winterization last year. I was charged $4.95 per gallon for Winter Safe antifreeze. That price sounds like alcohol based antifreeze. I have to admit I really didn't notice any lingering flavor in the water. Then again we just use...

While researching this I was made aware not to use auto antifreeze nothing about non-alcohol.

Hand pumping antifreeze into my PUP

I am going to try and winterize my PUP this year. I understand all the procedures as far as draining, blowing out the lines and by passing the water heater. My water pump is in a tight spot and trying to get a connection from the antifreeze to the pump is tough (plus I am notorious for...

    New is not the way?

I bought a new PUP in 2019 and have taken about a dozen trips in 2 years and on almost every trip I have had something come loose or broken. Nothing major yet, just little annoying things like a screw loose or the vent door of my H2O heater flying off along the interstate just to name a few...
