??? Campground Theft, How Often ???

We have camped at several campgrounds over the past 12 years, from national parks to state parks to commercial... we have never properly boondocked so I can't speak to that, but we've never had anyone steal anything off of our campsite (I have seen stuff get stolen out of the common areas at Ft...

How effective is portable or window AC in a popup?

Oh yeah, important to get a fan to help circulate the air, and a discharge vent you can aim upwards.

How effective is portable or window AC in a popup?

We have an 8000 BTU one in our camper and it does okay... not great, but we sleep comfortably at night. The most important thing I think with pop ups (and campers in general) is that any solar load is a KILLER. We have camped in shade and in full sun in hot temps and during the day the AC just...

    1989 Palomino Mustang-CR Rebuild

...and another thing! My lovely wife has sewed up a couple of new covers for our mattresses. We tried a topper on our side of the bed but like so many others, the topper makes it difficult to shut the camper, and we tend to sleep too warm for our liking with a foam topper. So, we have three air...

    1989 Palomino Mustang-CR Rebuild

Oh yeah, one other thing I did... this camper like a lot of pop ups has issues with frame sag such that the entry door won't latch unless you crank the stabilizers down in the back real tight. I reshimmed the door jamb on the latch side to account for a lot of this sag so the door latches and...

    1989 Palomino Mustang-CR Rebuild

Done a few things here the past week on the pop up. The 6000 BTU AC unit we had in here proved to be a little too...well, little. I found a 12k BTU unit that was just the right size to fit the hole. Unfortunately, that left little room for any vent for the condenser core! lol So, where did it...

I do like the A-liners with dormers. I'm 6' 1" and always felt like I was bending my neck all the time in an a-liner until I stepped foot in a dormer model.

Same here. If they had a dealer network in the US I'd be more inclined.

I'm sorry I've ruffled a few feathers opening this can of worms. That was certainly not my intention.

Again, I think y’all are getting all defensive for no real reason. To be honest I am probably being a little unfair here and lumping my experiences here and a few Facebook groups and distilling down some of the negativity I’ve recently seen towards pop ups. It makes me wonder why those folks...

I’d say #2 depends. There’s not as many dual axle pop ups, some don’t have brakes (ours doesn’t). My list is not just relative to travel trailers but inclusive of tent camping as well.

I think you're reading a little too much tone into my post. No offense is intended here.
