Yep, another WDH "Do I need one thread"

What's a helper spring? Is that similar to airbags? Edit: just googled it and I like it. Won't effect stock ride, no hastle of the wdh, and cheaper.

Yep, another WDH "Do I need one thread"

Here is a picture fully hooked up after a trip to Yosemite. We no longer take bikes as the kids don't think it's cool to ride bikes anymore. I'll measure tonight what the drop is and lift of the front end. The Fastway e2 I ordered came in but I think I ordered it too heavy, I got the 800Lbs...

Yep, another WDH "Do I need one thread"

2006 Fleetwood Niagara high wall towed with a 2001 f150 Supercrew 4x4 with the 5.4L. Truck tag GVWR at 6740lbs. Trailer tag GVWR says 3770lbs. Did a rough estimate with a scale and the tongue weight comes in around 420lbs, 2 full LP tanks and 1 battery. Rear end drops about an 1.5in when hooked...

    Still Cranking a pop-up?

Just hitting 50 next year here and DW just turned 50. We don't mind the setup but have been discussing a Hybrid as we love the canvas and admitted we would like to do longer trips to multiple places but the hassle of setting up 3 times in a week are a bit more than we would like.

Need to get back to camping...dry camping

What's the most efficient way to charge the battery? Hooked up to the TV and ran or use the generator? Thinking of adding a 2nd battery on the inside right under the front couch.

Need to get back to camping...dry camping

Fresh water system is 100% go, no leaks and hot water system is good. My problem is the power, I have a single 12v deep cycle battery. I swapped all the lights to LED bulbs, and have a Ryobi bluetooth 2,300 inverted generator if needed to charge during the day. Blue tote for the gray water as my...

Need to get back to camping...dry camping

Just got the pup back in shape after a 2 year, no camping dry spell. Repacked the wheel bearings, had tires inspected, new AC unit, replaced leaky toilet valve, battery still good, hot water rod still good, checked all plumbing no leaks, and a few minor things fixed. Shes been mostly camped in...

Dometic Brisk Air II Airbox, bad design.

Just replaced my broken Coleman Mach unit with a Dometic Brisk Air II unit. The unit itself works great but the air box on the inside is absolute garbage. Most of the air is distributed to the sides and rear, nothing to the front. The design requires putting screw holes (8) into the ceiling to...

Mach air conditioner, cooling not turning on.

Checked current at the black wire going to the compressor and only at 3 amps. Checked the black wire inside the trailer going to the selector switch, with it on fan low pulls 2.3 amps, with the low AC it jumps to about 13A and settles at 5.3A.

Perfect, thanks. I'll get a clamp ammeter tomorrow and check it. I assume you put it around the man AC cord or on the wires going to the compressor? Also do I get just the starting cap or the hard start cap?

Mach air conditioner, cooling not turning on.

Finally got around to checking voltages. From the selector switch HI/Low all check out OK. White wire to the thermostat switch and black wire all get 120vac, now the yellow wire from the thermostat to the black wire I get nothing. Even when turning the temp knob all they way in each direction I...

Mach air conditioner, cooling not turning on.

Yea, welcome to the San Francisco Bay Area. When that fog bank rolls in everything cools down. Good point about the power, I had had it plugged directly into a 10 amp plug using and adapter. Will see what it does at the camp site next week.

Mach air conditioner, cooling not turning on.

Correct Steve, I turned it on max cold and I can hear the compressor kick in but the temp on the fins inside doesn't go down after 5-6 minutes. I would expect it to drop a few degrees. Funny thing is it when we had the shroud and top cover off it seemed to work OK, temp dropped 3 degrees in 5...

Mach air conditioner, cooling not turning on.

We were camping last summer and got a crappy spot with no shade and it was 95 out so the wife had it running all day in the sun into the late evening. After that trip it never cooled correctly. Were taking it out next week and shouldn't need it on the coast so I'll play around with it then.

OK model number is 8633B876 Coleman Mach. Cleaned all coils with self cleaning stuff from HD, not really dirty at all but couldn't hurt. All wiring looks good up top, no burnt wires or bad connections and the compressor overload switch checks good. Removed all capacitor wire connectors and...
