Exterior siding damaged by vehicle; looking for suggestions for how to repair.

They are friends of ours. It's likely going to cost $50-100 to fix this and they will cover the cost. 100% not worth bringing insurance into this..

Exterior siding damaged by vehicle; looking for suggestions for how to repair.

Thanks all for your ideas. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet but will definitely be taking all of your tips to heart when the time comes to repair. For now I have some 6mil plastic and duct tape protecting the area. One thought I had was taking the panel out of the door and using part of...

Issue with getting upper part of door set properly — 1995 Dutchmen 1003

Hi there.. hoping there are some other Dutchmen owners of a similar vintage who can share their door stories with me. We bought this camper used a couple years ago and the door has never really seemed to "snap" into place properly when opening the trailer. I think it's an issue with the sheet...

Exterior siding damaged by vehicle; looking for suggestions for how to repair.

Thanks for your replies. At first I too thought it was FRP but I looked into FRP and they state its not meant for outdoor use—can get brittle and yellowed. I routered off a couple bits and I have attached photos. It looks like 1/8" Luan or particle board with a fairly robust white plasticky...

Exterior siding damaged by vehicle; looking for suggestions for how to repair.

Hi all, our camper recently got a hole put into the side of it by a another vehicle's rear-mounted bike box. There are two holes in the side of the camper, one quite small and one a bit larger. I'd like to repair this myself. I'm not concerned with making it look perfect or even the same as it...

Door won't be straight no matter how much leveling we do! see pictures

Honestly it looks like an issue with the door itself. The top half of the door is sagging or otherwise has a bent frame or something. Can you show more detailed pictures of the top half door hinges and frame?

Need advice on replacing cable in Dutchmen 1003 (~1997 model)

For those keeping track at home, I'm going to attempt to do this tomorrow by keeping the roof propped open using 2x4's about 2 feet long. This should give me enough stability and clearance to get into the camper and access the winch. I will report back tomorrow with details.

Need advice on replacing cable in Dutchmen 1003 (~1997 model)

Hey guys, I need a new calbe in my pop up. I don't think it's frayed or anything but it's fully stretched and I can no longer adjust the pulley forwards to prevent the rear of the roof opening higher than the front. I have the new cable and I thought I would replace it today. However, I just...

Dometic 2193 Fridge not cooling on propane

Awesome thanks for that. Yeah I'm pretty convinced it's the jet as well. Do you think there's any use in replacing the burner assembly while I'm at it? Mine seems rather rusted...

Dometic 2193 Fridge not cooling on propane

Yep the baffle is there.... I've taken it out a couple times and cleaned it. It was already super clean to begin with. I'm fairly certain my issue lies at the jet....

Dometic 2193 Fridge not cooling on propane

Thank you so much for your reply (and everyone elses). I have still not solved the issue, although I may have improved things *slightly*. I've completely taken things apart three times now. The chimney/flue and baffle are as clean as can be--they were never dirty to begin with. The burner jet...

Dometic 2193 Fridge not cooling on propane

Sorry if I came across as thinking your question didn't make sense--it was more me trying to understand the operation of the fridge. Appreciate all the insight. So I turned the fridge off last night assuming it wasn't cooling well enough. How long does it take to cool down on Propane? I did not...

Dometic 2193 Fridge not cooling on propane

OK I will try again later today with a load. I have a furnace and stove, that's it. I'll turn both on. ANd just to confirm, is it OK to use the little port under the fridge control panel?

Dometic 2193 Fridge not cooling on propane

OK thanks for that suggestion. Here's one more question: I assume those fins have the same purpose and effect as when on 120v? If they get enough airflow on 120v to cool adequately would it make a difference if that same airflow was also available on propane or would make sense that it would...
