A word of caution. Our previous Fleetwood Highlander owners manual specifically said not to use tow vehicle power to operate the lift. I used a small booster box when our battery croaked. I don't know why.
Our first highlander series had a similar issue. It turned out to be caused by great gobs of sealer the PO had used to try and close the gap between the air conditioner shroud and the roof. He had blocked the condensation drain path. So, all of the water was backing up into the roof structure.
I just restriped mine. You can buy different colors and widths on Amazon. Before and after pics attached. If your stripes are peeling use a pressure washer to knock the loose stuff off. I used stripes a bit wider than the original. It helps if you get off course a bit.

I bought a new bottle cover of the one size fits 20# or 30# variety. Since I am unlikely to ever install 30# bottles, I cut 4" off the bottom. Trust me. It looks a lot better.
