    Yellowstone Planning After the Flood

From the NPS site: https://www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/flood-recovery.htm It is unlikely that Indian Peak or Madison will open at all this year. There is a lot to see in the Cody area and the East entrance is supposed to open on 6/22. I'd keep all your reservations but book backup spots...

    Yellowstone closed !

Plan at this point is the East entrance but could change to the South if needed. Yes - video of Lamar should be interesting and I'm expecting some road damage. https://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/news/220613.htm

    Yellowstone closed !

I have reservations to stay at Grant Village for 6 nights in late August and then Colter Bay for another 3. Based on the superintendent's media update yesterday, I'm going to keep the reservations for now. Though I had several back country hikes planned in the North loop, there is still...

First and Maybe Last PUP Trip

Went from a popup to a travel trailer last year and never looked back. In my opinion, the positives out weight the negatives for many of the reasons already listed.

First trip of the year, and running the numbers...

Was at Devils Canyon on Friday, May 20th for the night. We were at #23. I had half a tank of fresh water along with a 7 gallon jug so I was OK. It's a nice place for sure.

    First Trip of the Year

Got back this past weekend from an 8-day to Utah and Arizona. First night was at Sam Stowe Campground (#6) at Fremont Indian State Park. This is a nice campground that has full hookups and we enjoyed it. Only issue as that we had a "squatter" in our reserved spot who didn't want to move! The...

Dometic 2193 won't stay lit if there's wind

I would probably add some 12 volt computer fans to the top vent if doing that. I'd be a bit concerned about enough airflow to cool effectively.

2006 Rockwood Freedom lift system issue

You should have a Goshen lift system on your Rockwood. There is a pulley at the rear of the PUP that you can adjust to make it lift evenly. Here is a link to Goshen's site and a diagram: https://www.goshenstamping.com/lift-system

Dometic 2193 won't stay lit if there's wind

I would try and build some type of wind block if you could. I've seen some people put a cheap furnace filter behind the vent. It will block the wind but still allow air flow.
