In or out - What's your style ?

Let me start out by saying that there is no right or wrong answer.....It's just a difference of what makes things work. So here is where I am coming from.... We made the jump from tent camping to a pup about 12 years ago. I blame it on a neighbor. We were quite happy in a tent actually, but...

    Andersen Leveler

Does anyone here use one? I know a lot of people use a bal leveler but I currently just use boards of various thicknesses. I'm intrigued with ease of just driving or backing onto an Andersen. The thing I don't quite get with an Andersen leveler is how you could securely chock the tire.

    Recommendation for camping in Vermont?

We are planning on visiting/camping in Vermont this summer. We went on the Vermont States Park Camping website and found the info lacking. I'm not seeing info on electrical hookup on any of the sites.....maybe I'm missing something? Does anyone have any recommendations on parks to stay at and...

Toronto RV Show Jan 18th to 21st

http://www.rvshowsontario.ca/toronto-rv-show/ Gonna head there on Thursday. I'm looking to see if anyone makes a small TT (17 to 20 ft) that I can fit in, especially the bed. I'm 6'4" and have enough bed length with my pup but I think most tt's have shorter beds which would be a problem.

    Hide post?

Is there any way to hide a post topic from showing when visiting this site? Call it a quirk of you may, but I find it annoying that when I visit the New Posts page throughout the day there is a "New Post" that has been going on for 6 years being replied to by the same 3 or 4 posters. And it's...

    Coleman/Fleetwood crank assembly question

Here is a question for you Coleman/Fleetwood guys. The shaft where I insert the crank handle seems to have some play....when I am cranking up the roof there is a fair bit of wiggle and it seems to be binding slightly. I'm assuming the shaft bushing is worn a bit? The question I have is if I...

    Need help from Fleetwood owners

I recently sold my Dutchmen p/u and bought a NTU 2008 Fleetwood Santa Fe. We are going away this weekend and after packing the cupboards etc I had a lot of difficulty closing the roof. The roof just does not seem to want to settle and latch without a lot of pressure on the roof...

    Algonquin Park

Anyone here ever camped at Canisbay in Algonquin Park? I'm heading there on Thursday and am just curious. We haven't camped at Algonquin in over 15 years, and only at Lake Of Two Rivers so it should be a nice change.

    New to me T.V.

I used to tow my p/u with my 2001 Sierra which I loved, but due to circumstances beyond my control I needed to trade it in and purchase a van. I have pulled my p/u with the van for 2 years and honestly it towed well....but I really missed my truck! This week I purchased a NTU 2008 GMC Sierra...

    2014 Provincial Park Rates correction

Hey all. I have just been in contact with the parks office about the rate increase. It seems that the increase this year is only $1.00 per night and not $5.20 as previously quoted. The system now shows the HST included price when you do a query about a site....is used to show the price per...

    2014 Provincial Park Rates

Unless I'm missing something it appears that the cost of camping has increased by $6.20 per night. I was just on-line comparing my bookings from last year cost-wise and did a test run. Add H.S.T. to this and we are approaching the $7.00 per night mark. [:(!]

    ABS VS. ALUMINUM VS. FILON

Hello all! I know there will be a lot of different views about this but I plan to replace my P/U with a newer unit this spring. I currently own a 2001 Dutchmen Voyager and have been pretty happy with it in general. I did however need to replace the front and back roof ends last spring due to...

    How to clean aluminum skin?

Hi all I removed the plywood ends of my roof because of rot, but needed to use a heat gun and scraper to separate the aluminum skin from the origional plywood. There is a lot of glue left on the skin, as well as some thin pieces of plywood skin from the rotten area still glued. Does anyone...

Oh Boy! My turn to fix roof ends etc.

I purchased a 2000 Dutchmen pop-up about 6 years ago, and when I first got it home began the process of repairing the problems you generally find in a used unit. The tires were cracking badly, I'm not sure if the bearings had ever been serviced, someone put an out-dated propane bottle on the...
