    End of summer NV rally

Hello, I will be doing an end of summer season camp out at Davis creek campground. It will be the weekend after Labor Day so September 9-11. I will be at campsite #27. While there are rv spots a good amount of spots can accommodate a pop up but require a back in. The sites I have found can fit a...

    Who's still camping?

Yeah I mean it’s at the bottom of that mountain range. They didn’t have a weather app so luckily I left yesterday. Woke up to chain controls from the campground to home.

    Who's still camping?

My boyfriend won’t let me sleep with the sleeping bag in the bed. I miss it sometimes. Going camping this weekend at Davis creek camp ground since there isn’t snow in the ground.

    Update axle/clearance

I have a 1994 coleman destiny pop up camper that I’m struggling to find an axle solution for. My axle is only 2 inches in diameter and I haven’t been able to find a axle flip kit. There are only some hefty priced options like replacing the axle or going full axle free. While I want the axle free...

    1994 Coleman renovation

Well I bought a 1994 Coleman destiny. I had never towed, owned a trailer let alone camp in one alone. I’ve been dreaming of one day being able to have a trailer and was just so happy to have my own. I’m single and while I had help i did a significant amount myself. I changed a lot of stuff but...

What changes when your dog comes camping?

My dog has nothing really change... he doesn’t use a kennel and is pretty spoiled with having an indoor and outdoor bed when we camp. I got a leash that has a handle that can be unbuckled and buckled around things. So I can attach him to stuff no matter where we go from kayak to camping chair. I...

    Help backing up

I did the bus ones at my local high school. I park it at a 90 degree angle so getting that down pretty well. Still not perfectly straight but I don’t really care about that. It’s small enough that I can fit in about anywhere being crooked.

    Help backing up

Do you find a i actually ask for help a lot. I remodeled my camper mostly by myself but did a lot of research. I know when I can’t do something and will ask for help when I need it. I agree we need to all help each other. I just didn’t expect some stranger who didn’t even talk to me for five...

    Help backing up

That’s a scary story! I grew up hearing about how my grandma had to go in the middle of the night and had a face to face encounter with a grizzly in Yellowstone. So I bought a porta potty for my trailer real quick. Totally worth it! the other part of having a gun is all the state regulations. I...

    Help backing up

I would probably have given him the keys in that scenario as well!

    Help backing up

I had never towed a trailer before February so you at least have that. I practiced in a high school parking lot where the buses park and I will probably still take a few tries. Since I find a lot of spots are at an angle I choose to do those. I have bear spray cause you can use it on animals and...

    Help backing up

You got this! Yeah it’s definitely an adjustment to get used to. I have a dog which helps a lot. I try to invite people to come with me. There are also lots of women camping groups. I also don’t do too many days alone since if I don’t talk to someone everyday I can get really sad.

    Help backing up

I actually watched someone on YouTube explain the whole thing with a lego tractor and a toy steering wheel. It made so much sense once they did that.

    Help backing up

Yeah the back up camera definitely was something I wanted. I have to back up onto two single tire ramps onto a curb. I just wasn’t comfortable being on a busy road trying to attempt to do that without the camera since I am so new. Thank you for the “you go girl” I appreciate it! I spent a few...

    Help backing up

I had just gotten there. It was middle of the afternoon. Yes I got out after I initially started in the spot so that I could get appropriate distance and understanding of the site. But I had been there for like 2 minutes before I had two people come over to “help” me back up my trailer. Then I...

    Help backing up

Hello, I am a single 29 year old who tends to camp alone. I’m new to towing and pop ups and want to know more about why people flock to me to help me back up? Does this happen to men camping alone? Do other accept help? Do you offer to back other people camper up? My first experience backing...

    Solar plus power station

I was using a foldable solar panel and Jackery batteries to stay at a family off grid cabin. I would highly recommend Jackery and the 240s are great. They can run your whole camper and also show you your usage. Just for emergencies it’s important to have one in my opinion.

    The update has begun

Hello y’all, I have already posted a little bit and excited to start on this journey. Got my ‘94 Coleman destiny in January and already have 3 booked trips. So Blaze (my dog) and I have started updating and fixing my Coleman. I have already redone the countertop, covered the flooring, painted...

    No more hand pump :)

Yeah I have some of the collapsible ones but they aren’t as sturdy. I might have broken one due to my ability to break everything and my feet were quite wet. I didn’t want to put in a water pump. They seemed loud and I might have had to do electrical adjustments, which with my ability to break...
