I did the axle mod and put 14" wheels with Taskmaster Contender TTT868 205/75-14 on my Coleman Sea Pine. I've pulled it up the Jeep trails in CO to go off-grid into the wilderness archery elk hunting. They have held up great! Biggest thing is a good tall sidewall. I have an electric tire pump so...
Also, if you have an "issue" you would be found at fault and cited as it is illegal to place a vehicle in neutral to coast down hills. (i think in all states, but could be wrong...)
I need to do this!!! Any detailed pics/steps? I was going to try to fish it back out with a wire coat hanger.... Currently using a ratchet strap from the sink bar to the latch on the outside of the camper. Worried that rocking and rolling in the Rocky Mountain trails may eventually cause more...
In town = PRACTICAL
Travelling = NOPE!
Wonder how many days/weeks it would take me to make my trip to Colorado Rockies to elk hunt (1,760mi), to then just get stuck in the wilderness at the top of a mountain due to no power!! 26hrs straight with having just 5min stops to re-fuel along the way...
I down-sized from a 2003 Utah to a 2000 SeaPine which doesn't have a water pump or water heater. I ended up getting a Hike Crew instant water heater. It sets up within 5mins and it is almost instant with the hot water. I use it on my elk hunting trips in the top of the rocky mountains of CO. I...
so, it is stock currently. i always fill the camper's tank as close to destination as possible, and I also have a 55gal water drum that I use to refill when low as i camp off-grid. image of tank and specs attached
I've not had any luck finding the info I'm looking for. I'd like to put a larger water tank on my 2000 Sea Pine. Is this possible? Does anyone have a link to info?
Would a tank from another in the same "group" work/be compatible, say from a Utah which is 20+ gallons verses the 10 gallons?
Thanks!
So, I just returned from my CO elk hunt the other week. I pulled mu Coleman Utah (BIG pop-up camper 3.5K#+) up the 17% grade rocky mountain jeep trails fully loaded with my fully loaded Silverado Z71 1500 crewcab. I waited until I got to town (from NC) to load my perishable foods and fill my...
Found a 55gal plastic barrel for water storage ($8 on Marketplace). I'll be using it the roughly 16 days i'm in the wildness of the Rocky Mountains while elk hunting. I will be pulling my Fleetwood-Utah from NC to CO. In town, before traversing the jeep trails up into the mountains I will stop...
