That's pretty much exactly what happened to me! I saw a little bit of water appeared to be seeping out and when I barely turned the plug the whole piece came off in my hand. Do you have a photo of the valve you used to replace it?

While fixing a different water problem under the PUP today, I noticed a little drip coming from the plug on the water tank. Thanks for the offer. I went ahead and ordered a new pump. Should be here today. The rocker switch was on when I did all my testing. The motor was definitely running, just not pumping.

I assume it is, otherwise why is it there, but is that fuse there necessary? In other words, when I install the new pump I should make sure I have a connection with the fuse like that?
