I'm not worried about the weight of the pup at all. It's a 8 foot box and doesn't have many extras....but the lack of brakes seems to be the big concern. I suppose I'll stick with the pickup. I suppose that is okay though, the only reason I was considering he Outback over the Crosstrek is the...
I believe the new Outbacks, depending on engine, tow between 2700 and 3000...which would cover it easily. My main concern is the lack of trailer brakes, and my '99 Taos isn't even made for them. I think I'd have to buy and install a new axle....which I am not going to do. In the end, if I cannot...
I have a 1999 Coleman Taos. No fridge, no furnace, no battery. I have a 20 pound propane tank and there is a A/C on the roof. I haven't weighed it, but I figure 2000 pounds. I currently tow it with an old 6 cylinder F-150.
I have been thinking about buying a Subaru Outback, which should be able...
Appreciate the input folks. I'm not looking to spend a fortune. Preferably under 30 grand. Also note that at least 2 times a month I have to drive to work (normally in a van pool) and it is a 140 mile round trip. I'd like to keep my MPG in a reasonable range. I was looking at the Outback because...
Looking for some expert opinions, I have a 1999 Coleman Taos equipped with a A/C, 1 20 lb propane tank, standard spare tire, and whatever gear I store in it suck as camp chairs. I figure the thing weights no more than 1500 pounds loaded, perhaps less. Oftentimes there are 5 of us going camping...
Okay, so I have this 17 foot, 75 pound, Grumman canoe....I transport it on top of my TV, which is a ford windstar.....I fasten it down with the little foam pads that everyone hates. So, my wife hurt her back and cannot really help me get this thing on top of the van....I was thinking it would be...
My 1706 looks very similar to that as well, except I have a different color counters. The factory fridge comes under the sink and the furnace is directly across from it. Where your icebox was is storage spot for our. - Lets see the "after" pictures!

Amazingly, nothing on the awning ripped or broke...I straightened it out just as before.....although I did throw a couple ropes over it and stake it down this time.

I am against all cell phone usage in the bathroom...it's, well, unsanitary to say the least and dangerous (my wife dropped her phone in the toilet).

As I understand it, those are just put tere to keep the roof from falling on you in the event of catastrophic roof failure....which I am not even entirley sure is possible.

Are you talking about the 2 metal bar/supports that you put on after the roof is raised? If so, I was told my the dealer to place them in opposite corners in case of roof failure....I suppose also, if you forget about them then the roof won't lower on one side and not the other....

I just wanted to put my feelers out and see how many Viking pup's were out there. Viking does not seem to be one of the major brands out there, so I was also trying to figure if there were any Viking specific problems that I might need to be aware of for the future.
Thanks...
