There have been a few people on here, that have taken the 3ways out. They've either replaced it with a small dorm fridge or made the space into extra storage space. The 12v compressor coolers work well, better then the 3ways. But you have to deal with the extra draw on your battery.
Look on Amazon for the Renogy suitcase.I got for $199 with the controller and clamps to attach it to the battery. I plan on using it just like you. I bought a 12v cooler last year. They don't run constantly so use less power then you think. As I never had trouble going 3 days on my group 24...
You might want to check local laws. I know in CA if you have lights on your vehicle they have to work. So if you put the lights on with back up lights you might have to wire them in. Even if the trailer didn't originally come with them.
How do I know. Got a ticket for non-op lights once
did you get a BBQ with the pop up? if you did it should have also a mount to hang on the half door when open. also a hose to plug into that low pressure quick disconnect. I tossed our BBQ after using it twice, it sucked! mount looks like this. Mounts on a channel on the half door.
I have an 05 Yuma. What do need? The information packets has the info on what options you have. Like which refrigerator you have, a/c, axle, etc. So yours might be different. You might be better off looking online for the manual of each option.
Kevin, as a solar rookie I also wondered about the battery. You don't need a special battery but I'm sure some will work better than others. The controller allows you to choose the type of battery you have. I might change types of battery when it comes time to replace this one but until then...
Jim I usually read the reviews. I mean read them not just quick glance at them. Most of the times the bad reviews are for stupid reasons. On a set of knives I bought someone complained that the block had more slots than knives, so he felt he didn't get a full set.
But the reviews that got me on...
Steve, good suggestion will look for a good cable, I have plenty of locks. The controller is mounted on the panels. It's hinged to swing down when open, so you can read it. Have it hooked up to wife's car right now because we don't use it much so batteries need to be charged. It seems to be...
Hilldweller, almost all the reviews I read liked the products, but were frustrated with CS. I was disappointed because I've read here that some said it was a good system to get. If Amazon didn't have it I would have looked at another company. Its ashame because they are not far from me. I hope...
I was on another forum and someone posted this,
https://www.renogy.com/100-watt-12-volt-monocrystalline-foldable-solar-suitcase-with-voyager/
So I figured I'd check it out. Thought it wasn't a bad deal and might get one. The wife researches everything and found out Renogy has bad reviews...
The jack is the type that swivels back for travel. I guess I didn't fully lock it in position so when I raised the roof it folded. Had to get a couple of guys to stand on the back bumper so I could lift the tongue and lock the jack in position. Then the wind picked up and blew the tarp up over...
My 2004 Yuma the large bed is in the back. I've often thought about switching the bunks. I figure with the large bed over the tongue, the trailer wouldn't bounce some much at night when one of us got out of bed. What stops me is the support mounts. The back supports mounts are on the bumper and...
My worst nightmare would be, sitting by the campfire having a few beers looking over and seeing a skunk sitting next to me. My friends all jump up and run into the tent, leaving me alone with the skunk sniffing my bare feet. I finally ease up and try and work my way to my tent, the skunk at my...
