To help your generator out AND to prevent damage to your AC unit, get yourself a hard start capacitor.
The issue here is that AC units draw a lot of current for a split second when they start up (every time the thermostat calls for the compressor to engage). Your generator has plenty of amps...
That's great that the roof heat works for you. So many people complain about how weak it is. None of the roof AC units I have owned have had heat strips, so I can't really comment.
Two things I would like to comment on, though.
1) The highest capacity roof heat strips are 6,000 BTUs...
Does your trailer have electric brakes? If so, your brake controller's manual lever/button is the best way to stop sway. If your trailer wants to sway all the time, a friction device like you are talking about is more of a band-aid solution. It would be better to distribute the weight around...
I will say that Frontier Town (especially during the peak summer season) may not be he place to go for peace and quiet. There is a lot of activity and lots of kids running wild. Alcohol is allowed, and even sold at the park... so there can be some adults getting loud, too.

I love Assateague! I have always stayed at the State Park. I would like to try out the National Seashore, but my wife likes hot showers and hookups.
It is wonderful to hear the waves crashing while you drift off to sleep... and the occasional horse or Sitka deer wandering through your site...
Just booked the first trip of the year! We're going back to Frontier Town -- just outside of Ocean City, MD. This will be our third time camping there.
Full hookup sites are just over $100/night, but that includes admission to their water park, which the kids love. Okay, even the wife and...
My previous two tow vehicles had a 200 pound tongue weight rating, so it is still good to know. The new TV has a 350 pound tongue weight rating, but here's still I need to overdo it. If I had a truck with a 1,000 pound tongue weight rating, it would be a different story.

The scale makes it useless for me. Looks like about 1/10 of an inch to the 200lb line. All three of my trailers are below that tongue weight.

It seems like the newer models have trouble getting cold. My old Dometic in my 1984 Scamp actually had a time freezer compartment that could make ice in 90 degree weather. This was with no mods/fans.

4 way flat actually has:
1) Left turn/brake
2) Right turn/brake
3) Tail (running) light
4) Ground
The left and right should run to the bright bulb/filament. Tail light should run to the dim bulb/filament.

It might be worse where you are, but overall it is much safer... both crime against children and crimes against adults (from the 1970s to now). Of course, there will always be pockets of crime to be avoided.
On cheap camping, I will agree that you can get a cheap tent at Walmart, but camp...
Yup... the propane is liquid in the tank, and the vapor pressure coming off the top will be the same, so long as temperature is equal.

You can do what a lot of pup manufacturers do... just take a camper stovetop and mount it in a little wooden box. That's what my Palomino came with... which is used for the inside and outside stove.
Suburban and Atwood make most of them, and they run off of the low pressure LP system...
Make sure you guys are using the propane filter at the heater side of the extension hose. The hoses slowly break down and black goopy stuff will foul the heater if you don't have the filter in place.
And, just because it makes it easier for people to find this info in a search -- the heater...
We camp-driveway-ed. Had guests for the holidays, so the wife and I have up our bed and stayed in the pup. It was about 37 degrees at night, but we were nice and warm. I had a feeling the propane would run out... and it did... but we had the electric cube heater on and the heated mattress, as...
