I research most of the areas before even attempting to pull the camper around. Obtaining a permit hasn't been an issue for myself. I often find that some areas get trashed from previous campers. I've camped in Weiser State Forest and Tuscarora State Forest.

I would recommend the pet loop for a 30ft trailer. I did see one 5th wheel have adequate space below the restroom.

PA has State Parks closed for now. Most of them don't open till April anyway. I prefer to boondock in State Forest that you apply for a free permit to camp.

This is what the winch looked like before I corrected the issue. I referenced the owners manual that said for a winch cable you need a 3/16” cable.

Sorry I already fixed it and put the pup back together.

Winch cable jumped the pulley. By reading numerous post I’m ready to dive in and fix my dilemma.

We decided to give Colonel Denning State Park in Pennsylvania a try for a four day trip. We were impressed with the new restroom facility that had flushing toilets and hot water showers. The swimming lake was closed for one day due to water run off. We decided to hike for the day.

They have updated the campground with flushing toilets, showers and electric.
