@kitphantom, I know the backpacker gas stoves use a Propane/Isobutane (a mix of Butane and Propane) because Butane has problems at altitude and low temps (mostly the temps). Your liquid fuel choice is probably best, followed by Propane. At low temperatures, Butane does not vaporize well.

I agree 100% with this and I keep one (along with a couple of fuel canisters) in the camper at all times. I learned quite a bit about this style of burner because I like to occasionally make Nabemono (Japanese hot pot cooking) and Yakiniku/Korean BBQ.
Excellent temperature control, heat output...
Increasing the airflow behind the refrigerator was the first modification that I made to our Aliner. It came with a 120mm fan that lookedlike an afterthought and was fairly noisy.
I replaced it with these high-efficiency/low-noise 200mm PC fans, which move 3 times the air, while using less...
The Cool Cat in our 2017 Aliner Classic (with fabric dormers) cools just fine, even in 90+ outside temperatures. It does help to have a an additional fan to circulate the air in the cabin from the low mounted vents.
For heating, however, it is fairly ineffective once the outside temps get below...
I had a try at reserving "just in case" I could reserve a site (I couldn't resist ), but sure enough, it appears I will have to give it another go tomorrow. [:D]

There is no easy way to verify that the torque converter clutch (TCC) is locked on a Subaru Lineartronic CVT transmission. The main known (but pretty rare) problem with these converters is actually the opposite. The converter clutch doesn't unlock at low speeds or when stopped...
We towed our Aliner Classic (around 2000 pounds loaded and 200 pound tongue weight) for a little over a year with a 2015 Outback 2.5i. It worked well for us, but this was almost entirely towing in fairly flat Texas/Louisiana roads. We did take one trip into the Arkansas "mountains" but those are...
The Safari Condo Alto series is all composite and aluminum construction. I really coveted one of the "R" series (still a pop-up of sorts...), but it was about 50% more than the Aliner we eventually decided on and that was already tough on the budget.

The available adapters looked a bit fragile to me, so I built my own using MC4 connectors and an 8 gauge prefabbed SAE cable from Amazon. I still carry the alligator clamp harness with me in case of emergency/mishap like you experienced. It also gives the ability to pop off the SAE/Zamp end and...
I have never carried water in the tank to date. The Group 27 battery and box weigh 36 pounds, since I happen to have it on hand. It is no longer on the A-Frame hitch area, because I switched to two 125 amp-hour Group 31's in the rear of the Classic as a Solar Bank. (Which REALLY messed with the...
I have a 24" 12 Volt Supersonic (SC-2411) that works well enough for us on those occasions we take a television. Don't believe the "1080P" resolution listed in the description. It accepts, but downsamples 1080 resolution input signals. Native resolution is 720P (1366 x 768), but that is fine for...
I use a Curt Class III hitch and Tekonsha Prodigy RF Brake controller.

The Prodigy RF Brake Controller has been flawless. It makes it...
As delivered, the "Aliner True Weight" sticker proclaimed the overall weight to be 1754 pounds, with a tongue weight of 165 (before battery and propane tank). After the addition of a Group 27 battery and 20 pound propane tank (full), tongue weight was 207.
Options on the Classic were Cool Cat...
I use the Renogy 200 Watt suitcase kit to charge a 250 Ah VMAX Solar battery bank. I like being able to set up the Aliner in the shade while positioning and angling the panels for best angle to the sun.
I made a 25 foot, 8 gauge cable set to allow remote positioning of the panels. The Aliner...
The Cool Cat is not too good at being a "Warm Cat" when temps drop below the 50's. We were warned of this ahead of time by the dealer when we bought our Classic and carry a small plug in Pelonis heater that weighs next to nothing, but produces substantial heat (5200 Btu, as I recall). Also has a...
