im not too sure my bedrail repair is good enough. i think the bed box is whats bent! that frame is aluminum. was making adjustments when it started raining, so i got bed pushed in & shut it down.

can some of you seasoned pup owners take a look on saturday? im asking for help, now, in setup on fri night. im afraid its going to fight me.
i am bringing my new tent as backup plan!

    other tents:

my old jeep tent has great floorspace, 12x15, but zips on both doors quit working. i need that handy awl & new zippers to fix it. curtains over doorway worked fine last trip. tent will hold 2 queen airbeds w ample walkway inside.

my other huge tent 12x12 has one outside corner connector broken. wont stand up. attempted fix didnt hold. but the zippers are good!

and if ya Really want a party tent, i have 2 of those too. each 10x20.
with 6 adults, it sets up in 20-30 minutes.

i have lots of gear, let me know what is needed for newbies campers.
even with the rain, i seriously doubt it will get cold enough for sleeping bags.

Kat, you will get help setting your own up Friday Night. Don’t worry about other gear. We have it covered. Most will be in pop ups and trailers. Two-three others in their tents.

if i dont get my front bed moving smoother, i will be cussin during setup.
working on it again this saturday- no rain.
scaling back in axle project, flipping what i got, then get new larger tires.
    Worst case:camp in tents.

Kat, are you tie-dyeing T-shirt’s with group?

Please make a short list of crafts and materials needed. I have yarn and egg carton. I will look for dye also. Please make the list short and concise so it is easily understood. Again, we will only have about an hour on Sat to do crafts.

i will happily work with anything you have.
i will get the wood dowels for gods eyes.
    need 2 sticks per OJO.

i am getting some donated leftovers yarn, but more is better. any crazy colors. little scrap-end balls are perfect. the idea is stripes, lots of colors.
i was going to ask Ann to wind down some small balls- easier for kids to handle.

i will get a tye dye kit w 5 colors, kit should do 6+ shirts?

my thought on a few styro egg cartons was to use paintbush or stamps or dip it to add dye. (instead of squirting from bottle)
this could get messy, last time i ended up with tye dyd shoes!

maybe small kitchen trash bags to make aprons? dollar store!

the OJOS are something they can take yarn with them to finish later, shirts will need time to dry. can we string up clothes line for that?

    LIST
    • yarn balls (i will get the sticks)
    • tye dye kit (i will get)
    • nice to have- 4 styrofoam egg carton for dye (cut in 1/3s= 4 cups)
    • kids bring your own t-shirts (cotton is best)
    • kids.
art & crafts & kids are easy for me.

im stressing over my camper. repairs still not finished

    Thanks for everything Kat!

But we will only do the God’s eye craft.
That will give all plenty of time to enjoy the park, and you less stress.

So anyone who has extra colored yarn on hand, bring it.

    Good luck with the repairs!

Sorry for me being late to the party but Sal and I are looking forward to seeing you all again! We will be arriving Friday late afternoon. Will bring our checkerboard mat for sure for the kids to play in. Will have our daughter and her friend (both 12). Any ideas of what’s needed food wise yet?

We are really looking forward this seeing you guys again!
Thanks for thinking of checkerboard—a big hit last year! I will have bean bag/washer toss.
Anything you want to contribute to breakfast and potluck will be fine.
Guys assemble early to cook breakfast, so send Sal. My brother and friend will be making pancakes and sausage.
I will have link sausage, hot dogs, and corn on the cob for potluck. Bring whatever you want.
Friday evening, I will have a big pot of spaghetti and garlic bread for those hungry.
We are keeping things pretty relaxed this time, but we will do the yarn/stick craft, partner games, and a piñata! Some are bringing kayaks (me, bro, and friend, maybe MaryJane).
Theme is birthday party!!! If anyone in your group has a birthday in Sept, let us know the first name if you haven’t already.
I’ve invited friends who have twin boys in 6 th grade. Hope they come.
    See you soon.

I am bringing some wood for campfire. Don’t think it will be enough for every night though. Anyone else having wood, please bring some. You can bring into this park.

There are some of us bringing kayaks, so if you have a floating vessel, bring it. They do rent canoes and paddle boats at the store I believe.

I have some oak from tree trimming I can bring. May be enough for one campfire.
