Hey all. I just bought a new-to-me '71 Starcraft Starmaster 6. It's in really great shape, with just one (thankfully meticulous) owner. Took it straight out to Alleghany Park on my way home from Pittsburgh, PA to Rochester, NY. It was a super night.

As I'm home now, I've had some time to give it a more thorough once over and I'll surely be coming to this forum for some guidance. I was on here quite a bit before I finally decided to make a purchase. You campers are super helpful.

I grew up camping. I've done a ton of tent and cabin camping (no electric, water, etc.). But, mobile camping like this? It's really just been something I've drooled over for the longest time. Excited to have a chance to see if it really sticks for me.

I'm sure you'll all understand this...the first night of camping after I made the purchase was spent with a best buddy. We just kept looking at the pop up and then looking at each other and then laughing. Because it was just so much fun. So much better than a tent.

Anyhow--thanks in advance for all of the help I know I'll find with you fine folks. Cheers!

Congratulations! I still look at my clipper with that silly grin on my face after several years.

Welcome aboard! There is indeed a lot of wisdom on this forum. We have a 1978 Starmaster 6 and it hasn't all been smooth sailing but we're about ready to hit the road this summer. This is our upgrade from 1971 VW Bus and it is indeed fun (even camping in the driveway!!) Would love to see pictures of your rig.

Hi! My wife and I just bought a '72 Starcraft Starmaster, not sure if it is a 6 or 8, for $250. We have started the remodel and are very excited for the results.

Congratulations and welcome! I absolutely love your introduction. I also love your camper. The shape of the body is so cool, I am always envious when I see that shape on a pop up. It just puts off the best vibes!

Welcome! We sold our 1972 Starcraft popup 2 years ago! We were the 3rd owners-my husband's aunt and uncle owned it before us and it was the camper his uncle had grown up using. It was a great camper and still in good shape when we sold it. We just wanted something with a little more room so we upgrade to a 2006 Starcraft popup.

Marisa, Welcome, and glad you’re here. Memories have already begun with your new adventure. Can’t wait to see some pictures of that ‘71 Starcraft.
