1978 Coleman popup restoration Before and After

    Here is my 1978 Coleman popup project. It has sat in a barn for many years so needed a lot of work but its almost ready for our first trip this summer

    wow is right. very nice. so i have a question for you. i have a 78 coleman valley forge popup myself and i am trying to figure out what wire go to the battery so i can have 12 volt lighting. coming out of the tongue i have a red wire, blue wire and a black wire. and coming out from under the trailer i have wires long enough to reach to the tongue there is a blue and white wire. hope that you can please help

    Thanks everyone, it's been a lot of long hours but we are excited to use it. As for the battery wires, I'm sorry but I can't help with that. I killed the ac/dc converter since it was shot and we will be camping at campgrounds only with power. Hope u can find your answer

    Casey, if you haven't yet go ahead and post your question with a descriptive title in the appropriate forum, you might get a better and quicker answer. My Coleman Columbia does not have a convertor neither it has the conventional hook ups for battery. What I have researched and found is that it came with a long cable with alligator clips in one end and a connector in the other end where you could hook to your TV battery or a separate battery. This connector is coming out of the pup in the rear side of the curbside where the wire for the ceiling light run into the canvas which is the only 12vdc item I have.

    My friend runs a auto body shop so its Normal automotive paint, and the roof I used a rubber roof coating

    The logo was on the camper when I got it, I just painted it to match

    Very nice resto, I too love the curtain fabric, looks very mod. The shine on the cabinets is awesome. Congrats.
