I downloaded the owners manual for my trailer from this website and it talked about brakes but when I talked to the seller he said they were none. Is this something I pay extra to have installed or do not every camper come with the ability to have them?

Brakes do make a difference. Now with that said ............ Make a plan of attack for your N2U Meteor. The brakes are an easy thing to do and I wouldn't put it on the top of your to do list. Do any major repairs first and the brakes and tires when it is ready for the road. If you search "brake flange" and your axle has them, brakes are a bolt on. You will also need a brake controller for your TV (tow vehicle). But I suggest a new pupper have a plan.

    Hello There

I went from an 27 foot AirStream that has Electric Brakes to our
1981 Starcraft. The Starcraft has nuthin in the manner of brakes.

From this site I got The Dealer's Brochure and it showed that in
1981 it was an Pay More Option in our area ... for brakes.

    Out of this ... http://www.popupportal.com/index.php?topic=47369.msg396872#msg396872
I got brakes for The Pop Up.

Look on the rear of your wheel mounting and see if you have an flat metal
Plate/ Pad with an hole in each corner of it. This is for mounting The
back of The Brakes. Look at the max weight of your unit. This will be the
size of the brake unit to get for it.

While this is happening stop at any WalMart or the sort to get any brand of
Trailer Brake Controller. They are ther same if you are going to be using a
Lawn Mower Trailer to an Horse Trailer ( this part is where some get vocal
and say that you must use this Model and Brand vs what others are using ).

If you are shown an Flat Four Vehicle Trailer Plug remember that you can
not use it since there is no Blue Electric Brake Line.

Thank you that was so helpful. I was not sure what to look for in order to figure out if I even had a break option on my PUP or not.

Ryoukee, the link below should be of some help. It is from when I installed brakes on our camper. On the axle you'll notice the square flanges used to mount the brakes to the axle. If you don't have the flanges they can be purchased and welded into place or you could replace the axle with one that has flanges
