253149CE-73C0-4AED-AE13-A62AE71383D1.jpeg I had a large piece of the rear panel fly off of my pup on the way home from our latest trip. I figured I’d try and fix it rather than replace it. (Mainly because I couldn’t find one anywhere nor was I willing to pay for a replacement. )I believe I succeeded in this repair, however it was not an easy process. I did save a boatload of money doing it this way. I paid $17 for a 12x24” piece of white abs and $8 for pint of MEK.
    Here’s the damaged panel.

Cutting abs is easy just score it with a blade and bend it at the score mark till it breaks. (Don’t try scissors)

Again a big chuck of time here. Basically wait about 10 minutes per piece. I also utilized the heat gun here for some parts due to the sometimes uneven placement. Just heat it up till it’s ply able and jam it into the area to “form” it. Then add MEK mix and clamp in place.

Then I flipped the panel over and...walla! Ugly right? (Yet so beautiful.☺️) ED2995B9-1D8B-40CD-B0BB-3A62898F56F1.jpeg 0F982579-AE8F-4DDC-889F-049C36630EF6.jpeg

I did this in several coats to fill holes and cracks.

Not perfect by any means but considering the alternative and cost I’m pretty happy with the results.

I hope this post helps someone somewhere along the line.

F252D7C8-80E8-45ED-9F2E-8F527063C039.png Before I made the magic mix I tried this stuff. DON’T!
It may work on abs tight fitting pipes but not for this job. It takes way to long to cure compared to the magic mix.
Anyone know a plumber that could use this stuff?lol
