Hey me and my family just purchased a 2005 fleetwood valor in great shape. And we are having lots of fun so far. I know it has the alumitite roof. But everything seems to be very sold and no leaks. The previous owner has everything caulked on the roof on the known leaks pots of what I can tell.

My question is...what are the corner aluminum rails for on the inside of the camper were the valance hangs off of? I noticed that all the screws/rivets that went through to the outside sides of the roof are all removed and just caulked. Is this a structural peice that I would re rivet? I'm assuming it's been this way for a fair while but would like to fix it if needed.

    Thanks,
    Jon
