I removed Sunbrella panel of dinette slide-out side on our 2010 Coleman Utah Roof back in Fall 2017. At the time, pulling out the rubber gasket/gusset at top of panel from aluminum track required some force. It might be that pulled too hard and now the aluminum track is unattached ("blow out" on the 12 screw/rivet/widget anchors).
Fast forward to now and just had a look. Did bit of cutting and opening up and the wood looks to not have its original integrity (four pics attached). Thinking water got in there.
This previous post seems to cover the issue quite well:

And these other posters covered the topic:

This post might be way or procrastinating to dive into this repair...however wondering if any other folks have had this issue and any additional tips on the repair?

    Cheers!

Got some more info on these types of repairs from the local RV shops. This type of repair can run from $800 - $1000. Could also open a can of worms where wood rot if found in other section of roof...with local expert recollection of a full roof repair costing $4000. I do see that that Somerset (aka Coleman/Fleetwod post 2013) tent trailers advertise in brochure no wood in the roof - which is a good thing. Like other posters have mentioned - make sure the roof is properly caulked.
