Thanks! My kids are older now, thank goodness. My 18 year old (and boyfriend) don't join us as often as we'd like. They're both in college and work full time hours at part time jobs. My 15 year old son prefers to be with the adults, and my 8 year old daughter does her own thing quite well. Having older siblings, she's quite mature. We often forget she's "only 8" when she acts her age (meltdowns, cries, etc.). But, the smoker/grill! Now you're talking! My son would likely be by your side Txbum! He's assisted a friend in a few cookoffs and has been bitten by the bug! Something up north would be great! Texas is so big I'm sure no matter where the rallies are, someone is going to have to drive hours. Planning is difficult for us. The company my hubby works for makes them plan their vacations in October/November for the next year. That's it, they're set in stone. Bleh.
