Sorry I've been busy as all getup and my dad recently passed away so I've been battling with my idiotic sister 1500 miles away.

At any rate...LETS GET THIS BALL ROLLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the Spring Rally I spoke with several others who were highly motivated to attend a Halloween timeframe rally, which sounds great to me.

Halloween conveniently falls on a Saturday evening this year.

As an example I just now checked out Blue Springs in the Orlando area and as of right now 28 of their 52 sites are available, so the fact that there's some availability, in this case over half of the park, is to me a good sign.

We'd be into decorating, candy distribution, having best/most creative costume contests for the kids etc in addition to the traditional rally meet and greet/pot luck dinner etc.

Blue Springs is JUST AN EXAMPLE and nothing is set in stone.

We are open to going anywhere so I'd love to see others input so ...who is in and where are we going???

I am so sorry about your loss. My condolences.

If we can make it, Blue Springs is fine with us. But, don't use my input on the decision. It is still a big "IF" for us.

Hi everyone - we haven't camped since April - but I wanted to pop in and see if anything was set in stone for a fall FL or even SE rally yet? Eager to get the PUP back out - especially in the fall. We did Skidaway last fall and our trip coincided with a tear drop rally, and it's a great park. Open for anything!

Do you need a hand? I can help by advertising it on the portal/FB and get the word out. Many may not know about this section/thread. It helps if you post something in the main thread with a link back to this thread. You can just say something like "FL Fall Rally in the works for Halloween weekend."

Also, get in touch with Steve. He was a huge help with member names/lists of past Rally attendees.

You can also go through the threads still available with the names of past rally attendees and shoot them an email notifying them of the up coming one in the works.

So it sounds like Blue Springs been decided? What weekend? So reservations can be made? If you wait too long it will be filled with snowbirds.

I don't think there is any set area. Just wherever there may be enough sites available for the target weekend of Halloween. Blue Springs is one suggestion and as an example, if you have any suggestions/Park(s) in mind go ahead and post them!

If St. Pete Clipper wants, once 3 parks (or 4?) parks have been suggested we could run a short "vote." I say short because time is a wastin'!

I myself won't partake in the suggestion/voting because i am not sure we will have the funds to attend, but I am trying to help out a bit to get the news out.

Good day everyone! I haven't seen to many suggestions on parks, but it does look as if Blue Springs has a high interest. I just checked and there are 24 sites available as of this moment for Halloween weekend. Is everybody up for that Park and weekend? Post a response asap so that we can figure it out and get the ball rolling!

Just remember, in order for it to be an official Rally, there needs to be at least 5 members committed to attending! That means 5 members need to have reservations before it can be listed as a "Rally." Unfortunately I can not be committed at this time, but I won't be the WM for this Rally. St. Pete Clipper stepped up to the task. So let's make his 1st Rally as a WM a great one!

I wanted to join in, but my girls aren't happy about the idea of missing Hallween at home with their friends. Told them there would be activities planned at camp, but it's looking like we'll probably have to pass on this one.

Howdy Kim! The sooner you get your location & dates confirmed, the sooner you can ask Steve to make your officially Rally pages, and also tell him to make StPeteClipper the official WM. He's a very busy man, so hop to it, girl! LOL [;)]

Hope y'all have a grand time! I sure don't miss FL & it's humidity, but if you have to be there, then CAMP your buns off!! [LOL] [LOL]
