    Welcome Lou & Jan,
This is now the biggest turnout for the Vermont Fall Foliage Rally that we have had. Thanks everyone for being a part of this fun weekend at this beautiful campground. See everyone in two weeks.

I think DW opened an account on recreation dot gov , but so far has not made a reservation. No approved time off yet ( [:(!] ) , but there is still time. I have not brought the topic up in a few days, since..... you know, I'm probably better off staying married at this point. [:D]

My 8 yr old loves her karata. She had a belt ceremony when we were in Salisbury beach state reservation and missed it. Found out that she has the next one on the 25th. She told me after 3 days of thinking she wants to go camping. We will see. As we told her as we are off to Salisbury last time. Gave her the choice this time.

I have met a lot of great people online on my motorcycle trips across the eastern sea board. A lot of friends made for a lifetime. We actually went to vt for 3 days 2 weekends ago. Great group. Some of the guys we have ridden 50k miles together and one guy we have ridden 100k plus motorcycle miles .

Lou, great to hear you and Jan are coming. The girls will be happy to hear Kyleigh will be there again.

Ductape, I go camping all the time without my wife. If I didn't I would never go at all. [LOL]

I haven't ruled that out. There is still a little time.... I'm hoping things iron out @ her work.

(Edit) I may also suggest we leave here @ 5 Friday. That should put us at Winhall before 8pm

Ok I need everyone to cross their fingers and toes. As some of the RI rally campers know, we were rear ended on our way last week to the campground. We brought the pup to an rv mechanic in town and got an estimate for the repairs. $1400. It's expensive to not be handy!! We will be cutting it close on getting the repairs done before the VT rally but they think they can get it done as long as the new bumper gets ordered and shipped quickly. So cross your fingers and toes. They're going to call me today when they order the bumper to let me know if it can be done. We might be picking up the camper on Friday at 6pm as Jake and I head up!

Beer is an incentive, but you dont want to give us any until "after" the job is done [LOL]

Stefie19 - Hope that works out for you, and hopefully see you in VT

Wow, what a joykill for the weekend after that happened, at least you were still able to camp. Hopefully all goes as planned and you can still make it to VT.
Duct tape and a 2x4 would make a nice bumper just in case.

My wife wants to go camping at Lake Carmi this weekend (her birthday is on the 27th), so maybe we'll try this out instead. I'll talk to her about it :)

I was thinking of reserving either N16 or N33. Do you have any issues being neighbors with 3 kids (9-7-4)? :)

... of course there *is* that pesky algae problem Carmi is having...

We are steadfast Vermont SP campers, but we were pleasantly surprised by Winhall. The water release is a very cool event and Jamaica SP is completely packed.

Way to go, see you in VT. Shelmily in N36 has two 10yo girls, so not the only kids in the North loop.
