    FREE BOONDOCKING!!!

There are 2 CP's and 2 Private CG's in the area that people could stay at and join the pot luck with the boondockers!!!

I'm tracking down Free Boon-docking SP CG's with pit toilets, and then post a poll with a few other CG's and see what gets the most votes!!!

Any input is welcomed, there is time to pan out the details?

Possibilities for boondocking with pit toilets:

    Culp Valley
    Blair Valley
    Arroyo Salado

    What area are those in?

I'll head out to either Bow Willows or Well of 8 Echoes this coming weekend and then post a poll and info on each to get the dates and location set. Sound good Robin?

If anyone has any suggestions please post location, amenities, reservations or not, and any other pertinent information!

Here is information on Tamarisk Grove Campground. There is (free) Boondocking across the road at Yaqui wells. This could accommodate everyone"s preferences. I love Tamarisk Grove, it is very picturesque, just one loop and surrounded by Tamarisk trees. Plus, it has water, showers and clean flush toilets.

I camped at Tamarisk Grove years ago while on an outing with my hiking club. While I liked the campground overall, it was literally right next to the highway. The traffic noise made it unpleasant at the times we spent in the campground before and after sightseeing and hikes.[emoji53]

Good point NancyandDan. What about Bow Willows? We are still taking suggestions. I'll create a poll in a few days.

We've never camped at Bow Willow but would be interested to hear from people who have.

Just a reminder that, according to Reserveamerica.com, Fish Creek is closed until the end of 2016.

Blair Valley would be boondocking. We'd have to bring our own fire pit, but, it's free camping, which is cool. There are some nice hikes in the area as well. For those who use generators, maybe we could schedule hours of use? There is a group camp area there and it's pretty easy to access. I've never been to Bow Willows or Oak Grove.
